Some Pictures From 2-25-02
Here is some info on the pull and the pics I
just sent you.
The old skool semis can weigh up to 7oz we are
revising the rules so that you have to hide the weight so as to appear stock.
the modified semis can weigh up to 11oz any
motor 18 volt max. four or six wheel drive allowed weight must be hidden and
batteries also (I'm working on this problem with my Mack now)
We are going to build a new sled for the semis
as our sst sled has just about bought the farm (It can't handle the weight
over ten or twelve oz.)
LJN rough riders now have there own class do to
the fact that they will pull the nuts off of a stock stomper and people were
moaning.
rough riders are tuff!!!! I would have never
owned one as a kid but now I have like six of them. They are basically the
same but I feel that the motor is wound better and the shifters are geared
much better than a stomper but they are also very unreliable.
My Superliner pulling truck info:
Motor: 18 volt 18,000 R.P.M radio shack
Weight 11. oz
Twin 9-volt duracells wired for 18 volts
stock gearing with worm gear drive from motor
Tires: old two speed stomper softies glued to
the rims on the back
stock skinny semi tires on the front
If I could hold the drive gears I would be
really happy but as it is I change drive gears every round but I am at this
time undefeated.
My open mod stomper is a one speed rough rider
frame with stomper tires glued to the rims and a old stomper army truck body
and stomper tires glued to the rims that are in turn glued to the axles that
are glued to the gears.
It uses two AA batteries in a hook up like a
nine volt (nine volts are way too muck power and you can't control it. It will
be painted and smoothed up by the next pull
Well here are the first pictures from a real competition
pull!! They plan to have a pull once a month till spring, then it's time to
farm! . Over 70 Stompers were at this event. Thanks Will
